Process and Challenges
Taking inspiration from Alien Isolation and Soma, I began laying out a floorplan that included many opportunities to create a sense of unease, keeping in mind pacing.
Balancing the length of time the player is walking between areas is something that caused a lot of re-sizing rooms and hallways.
I've also added additional rooms after the initial floorplan in order to allow more interaction for the player within the level.
